Private Health Checks
Comprehensive private health checks
Our well person private health checks are an opportunity to put your health first, by undergoing a thorough and comprehensive health check.
A health check is an essential part of maintaining good health and preventing potential issues down the line. Regular health checks allow you to monitor your overall well-being, detect any underlying health conditions early, and take proactive steps to address them before they become more serious.
Many health conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure, can develop without noticeable symptoms. Without regular monitoring, these conditions may go undiagnosed until they cause significant harm.

Identify Health Risks
Health checks help identify risk factors for chronic diseases and provide a clear picture of your current health status, including your cardiovascular health, kidney function, and blood sugar levels. They can also detect early signs of mental health concerns, such as anxiety or depression, which can be addressed promptly for better long-term outcomes.
Additionally, health checks can guide lifestyle changes, such as improving diet, increasing physical activity, or managing stress, to prevent future health problems. By staying on top of your health, you can make informed decisions, catch potential issues early, and enjoy a better quality of life with more peace of mind.
Our health checks take place in two parts, a 45 minute with an experienced nurse, followed by a later 45 minute appointment with an experienced GP.

Part Two: Consultation with a Doctor
One week after your appointment with your nurse, you will be booked to see a doctor of your choice.
You will have a thorough 40-minute consultation and examination with a GP of your choice, either male or female, based on your preference. During this appointment, the doctor will conduct a comprehensive head-to-toe physical examination, which includes assessing your overall health, checking for any abnormalities, and evaluating any areas of concern. For men, the doctor may offer an optional prostate and testicular exam, while for women, a breast exam may be included as part of the examination. These exams are designed to detect early signs of health issues that may not be immediately apparent.
After completing the physical examination, the doctor will review your test results from any prior screenings or tests, carefully explaining the findings to ensure you fully understand them. They will then address any concerns you may have, discuss your symptoms, and go over your medical history, including any past conditions or treatments. Additionally, the doctor will inquire about your family health history to identify any hereditary risks, as well as review your current medications to assess their effectiveness and make sure there are no potential interactions or issues.
Following the consultation, the doctor will make personalised recommendations based on your health status. This may include prescribing any necessary medications to manage or treat conditions and offering guidance on lifestyle changes or preventative measures. If further specialist care is needed, the doctor can provide referrals to private or NHS specialists, ensuring you receive the appropriate follow-up care for your specific needs. This holistic approach aims to provide you with a clear understanding of your health, address any existing or potential health concerns, and help you take proactive steps to maintain your well-being.
Other tests may be recommended depending on your individual circumstances.
